“Marvelous Island”

The II International festival of music and arts "Marvelous Island" was held in St. Petersburg from August 23 to 26, 2018 with the support of "St. Petersburg Academy of Postgraduate Education" and the International Academy of Music Elena Obraztsova.

Many artists came to the II International festival of music and arts "Marvelous Island": the Republic of Belarus (Minsk), the Republic of Sakha-Yakutia (Mirny, Yakutsk), the Republics of Bashkortostan (Salavat), the Republic of Tatarstan (Almetyevsk), the Kurgan Region (Dalmatovo), the Kaluga Region (Kaluga), the Samara Region (Samara), the Perm Region (Perm), the Kirov Region (Kotelnich), the Vladimir Region (Vladimir), the Novgorod Region (Veliky Novgorod), Moscow and the Moscow Region (Klin, Zaraysk, Zaraysk), Leningrad region (Novaya Ladoga) and St. Petersburg.

The prize fund of the festival was 180,000 rubles.

Awards of the II International Festival of Music and Arts "Marvelous Island":

Grand Prix in the nomination "Folk Vocal" in the age group 8-18 years and a grant of 50 000 rubles for the trip to the festival "Open pages. Nizhny Novgorod ", which will be held in the spring of 2019 in Nizhny Novgorod, won the Folk Song Ensemble "Larchik "(head Anastasia Spasskaya, Moscow)

Grand Prix in the category "Folk Dance" in the age group 11-12 years and a grant of 50 000 rubles for a trip to the festival "Treasures of Karelia", which will be held on April 25-28 in Petrozavodsk, won choreographic ensemble "Rodnichok" (head Gerasimova Anna Anatolievna, Salavat)

The diploma of the laureate of the first degree in the nomination "Theatrical creativity" in the age group 16-56 years and the certificate for 20 000 rubles for the trip to the festival "Golden Legend", which will be held on March 8-10 in Suzdal, won Amateur theater "Fairy Tale" (head Zaitseva Elena, Zaraysk, Moscow region).

Diploma of the laureate of the first degree in the nomination "Stylized folk dance" in the age group of 13-15 years and a grant of 30,000 rubles for the trip to the festival "Open pages, Yaroslavl", which will be held 04-07 April 2019 year in Yaroslavl, won the School of Irish dance "Dance Spirit" (head Gomza Victoria Sergeevna, Minsk, Belarus).

Diploma of the laureate of the first degree in the nomination "Contemporary dance" in the age group of 13-15 years and a grant of 30,000 rubles for a trip to the festival "Open pages. Orenburg ", which will be held April 05-07 in Orenburg, won the dance school of Marina Podkorytova (head Podkorytova Marina Ivanovna, Dalmatovo).

Spasskaya Anastasia Nikolaevna (Moscow) received a special prize in the nomination "Best Teacher".

Podkorytova Marina Ivanovna (Dalmatovo) received a special prize in the nomination "choreographer-director".

Special prize in the nomination "Best Stage Costume" and the diploma of the laureate of the first degree was won by Liudmila Liustvila (managers Logvinova Svetlana Gennadievna, Zenin Oleg Sergeevich, Kaluga).

Special prize in the nomination "For a high level of performing skills" and the diploma of the laureate of the first degree was won by Osipov Gleb (head Olga Volkova, St. Petersburg).

Special prize in the nomination "For Artistry" and the diploma of the laureate of the first degree was won by Volkova Polina (heads Logvinova Svetlana Gennadievna, Zenin Oleg Sergeevich, Kaluga).

Special prize in the nomination "For Artistry" and the diploma of the laureate of the first degree was won by Kira Shutova (artistic director Slovak Alla Iosifovna, teacher-tutor Balashova Inna Igorevna, St. Petersburg).

Master-class on contemporary choreography 

Practical lesson on modern dance was an excellent addition to the existing choreographic base of the artist. In modern dance it is extremely important to know the latest and current dance trends. Visiting the master class on contemporary choreography, young dancers were able not only to learn from the rich experience of a professional, but to bring fresh solutions to their own dance aesthetics.

Teacher: Bogdan Harlym (Kiev, Ukraine) -  an actor of the Immersive show "Faceless", St. Petersburg, dancer at the Kozar Dance Theater | WAY creation (Kiev). He took part in the opening ceremony and closing ceremony of Astana Expo-2017 (Astana, Kazakhstan), multimedia dance performance The Challenge (Mumbai, India), DASS 2017 festival (Tel-Aviv, Israel) .

Master class on improvisation
This lesson was an introductory training where kids learned how  to speak without preparation. Exercises were aimed at emancipating, training actor's abilities and revealing your talents.

Teacher: Vitaly Kozlovsky (St. Petersburg, Russia) - the founder of the first improvisation studio in Russia - "Point Impro", the author of the personal-oriented teaching methodology, participant of international impro-festivals. Vitaly was trained by teachers from Europe and the USA (Christian Capozzoli, Lee White, Paolo Busi, etc.).

Master-class on arts and crafts
The variety of modern techniques of decorative and applied art allows the young creator to choose a direction appropriate to his creative interests. Cognition of contemporary arts and crafts expands the horizon of the child and creates fertile soil for the development of creative abilities, imagination, the ability to think outside the box and generate ideas.

Teacher: Pechenyuk Darya (Saint-Petersburg, Russia) is a teacher of arts and crafts, she has been conducting creative master classes for children and adults in crafts in different directions for more than 15 years: "dry" and "wet" felting, decoupage, ornaments from textiles, folk and soft toys, soap making, bouquets of sweets, assembling and much more.
